Let's be honest... marching snares have come a long way since the 1970s. Back then, they tuned lower, they weren't playing double-cheese-a-cue-sandwiches, and it worked.

This drum has 8 lugs. It's just not going to tune super high. But it does tune low outstandingly well, and that big fat "boff" ballad snare sound is very popular right now.

Some important details the note: The snare side bearing edge has a bit of damage and wear to it in two notable spots, one of which where the reinforcement ring is coming apart (both shown in pics).
