It's a 1930s/1940s build. Mahogany-poplar-mahogany shell with reinforcement rings, single-flanged hoops with clips, and six lugs.
The bottom head was original tacked on, like furniture upholstery; typical for 1930s drums.
The six lugs are later Slingerland replacements.
Who made the leg brackets, though? They look similar to Gretsch Gladstone-style, but the adjustments are different. They appear to be the same age as the top hoop, but we believe that is also a replacement.
This might be a Slingerland Rolling Bomber drum that has been modified since the 1940s, but that would mean that its original wooden parts (lugs, hoops) have been replaced. Does this make it more or less valuable?
