Here's an interesting one..

This is an 8x14" Ludwig Standard Maple, which is a 5-Ply shell made in Monroe, NC, but with what appears to be an Alpi style printed veneer, labeled as "Aged Chestnut". 

The drum is overall in good shape, but there are a few important things to note. One of the lugs on the players side has been replaced and it seems as though one of the original lug holes and another hole right next to it have been plugged and glued. The butt plate seems to also be slightly bent on one side. The last major thing to note is that on the batter side bearing edge there is  a spot where it looks as though a gap has been filled, possibly at the factory potential B-stock drum. The snare drum is perfectly functional and sounds fantastic all things considered! It's incredibly throaty thanks to the 2.3mm hoops, has a ton of warmth, and plenty of presence and attack with the 45 degree bearing edges.

Definitely a sleeper of a snare at this price!
