Behold this prime example of Ludwig drum craftsmanship!
One of Ludwig's flagship drum lines, the Legacy Maple shell calls to mind the classic tones of the 1960s and '70s by offering the classic formula of three-ply maple/poplar/maple shells with solid maple reinforcement rings and rounded 30-degree bearing edges. The result is warm, round, balanced drum sounds.
This is a Downbeat outfit, which includes a 20x14 kick drum, 12x8 rack tom, and 14x14 floor tom. These slightly smaller sizes and the warm Legacy sound makes this a supremely versatile kit, from jazz to rock.

But Ludwig pulled out all the stops on this kit - not only does it have "that" sound, they have finished this kit in a spectacular exotic veneer called Australian Lacewood, and finished it in a funky candy green-to-natural lacquer they call Gator fade. This is one of the best-looking Ludwig kits we've had come through 2112, and one of the best-sounding too.
This kit came from Ludwig's showroom, where it was played by endorsers, so there is some cosmetic marking on the batter-side kick drum hoop where the pedal attaches, as well as a few marks on the shells, but the drums are otherwise brand new. These drums would be nearly four grand brand new, but since it has been used lightly, we are able to offer it for a thousand dollars less than it should be.
