The snare is in great condition! Everything on the drum appears to be original aside from heads, snares and tension rods etc... There are a few very small spots with some very minor pitting/rust, but only noticeable when really up close looking for them. Overall... a very good looking, clean drum for being 65 years old.

The case works fine and does its job, but does have places with quite a bit of wear. The hinges are slightly wonky, but with some finagling it closes and stays shut with no problem...  it looks very cool!
